Once upon a time, there was a powerful emperor of heaven. Even though it was heaven, many people could come up to the heaven and enjoy. The emperor had one daughter that he adored. She was such a beautiful and graceful woman that every man wanted to marry her. The emperor informed all men in heaven that he will hold a competition in his castle to pick his daughter's husband. Thousands of men gathered in the castle. The emperor tested who can shoot an arrow the farthest. He found a man who could shoot an arrow that goes for 10 km. The emperor pleasantly accepted that man as his son-in-law.
The emperor's daughter and the man fell in love and lived a happy life. However, their happiness did not last for long time. One day, the man went into the woods to hunt animals. When he was about to shoot an arrow, his horse tripped over a tree on the ground. Since the horse was running at its maximum speed, the man flew off the horse and broke his neck. When he died, the daughter was in such a grief, she could not sleep, eat, or live normally again. She begged her father to bring him back to life, but the rule of heaven was strict. She cried for ninety-nine days and nights. Her tears gathered on Earth and formed oceans, rivers, and lakes. The emperor was devastated to see his daughter suffering so much. He told his daughter that she could follow him in after life. He would rather see his daughter happy in heaven rather than suffer. When she died, her soul stayed in heaven but her body was left on Earth. Her body formed rich land with lakes and rivers. The emperor, who wanted everyone to remember his daughter's true love, made her body to become Africa.
